1) Roundhill Financial filed a prospectus to launch a new Space ETF.

  • Last week, exchange traded fund provider Roundhill filed with the SEC for a slew of emerging sector focused ETFs, two of which include space and defense (we'll be focused on the space ETF today).

  • Per the filing, the Adviser defines “space companies” as those companies that are "principally engaged in, or have a meaningful nexus to, the space industry via launch services, satellite manufacturing and operations, space infrastructure, aerospace and defense contractors, and space-enabled communications and services."

  • The fund plans to invest in 15 to 25 U.S. and non-U.S. based equities via an actively-managed process that combines quantitative and qualitative inputs across small, mid and/or large-capitalizations.

Galactic Energy Raises ÂĄ2.4B Series D

More formerly known as Beijing Galactic Energy Aerospace Technology Co., Ltd. raised the equivalent to ~$336M in what appears to be the largest disclosed funding round as the company nears debut of new reusable and solid rockets. The round was led by Beijing Commercial Spaceflight and Low-Altitude.

Akashalabdhi Raises $1.2M Pre-seed

Incubated at the Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development (FSID) at IISc Bangalore, the company will use the funding to advance development its expandable module for space habitation, orbital logistics, microgravity experiments, and defence applications. The round was led by Uday Chatterjee, Romesh Sobti, LVX (formerly LetsVenture), 1Crowd and Riceberg Ventures.
