MDA and Rocket Lab To Partner With Globalstar For New Satellites

$GSAT announced a satellite procurement agreement with $MDA, in which the company will acquire 17 new satellites for $327M to "replenish and extend the life of Globalstar’s existing constellation" by 2025. The agreement includes the design, manufacture, assembly and test of the satellites. Globalstar has the option to acquire up to 9 additional satellites each priced at $11.4M. MDA will partner with Rocket Lab ($RKLB), who will lead the development of the spacecraft bus, valuing the subcontract at $143M. $GSAT, $MDA and $RKLB shares rallied +22.9%, +3.4% and +14.6%, respectively.

AE Industrial Partners Acquires CEO's Stake in Firefly Aerospace

The private equity firm behind Redwire ($RDW) and Sierra Space announced Thursday it had reached a definitive agreement to acquire a "significant stake" in Firefly Aerospace from Noosphere Venture Partners. It was previously reported that the Ukranian company founder Max Polyakov was being ousted over "national security concerns" and this officially confirms it. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

AiDash Acquires Neurafarms.ai 

Following Series B funding, the company has acquired the business and assets of Neurafarms.ai, a geospatial and AI-powered farming solutions provider, for an undisclosed amount.

SkyFi Raises $7.15M Funding Round 

The satellite imagery app startup raised from J2 Ventures, Moving Capital, Capital Factory, Bill Perkins and family & friends. The company plans on expanding its team and launching their app officially in Q2'22.

Xplore Secures $16.2M in Venture Funding and Customer Contracts 

The Space-as-a-Service startup investors include Alumni Ventures, Brightstone Venture Capital, KittyHawk Ventures, Private Shares Fund, Starbridge Venture Capital, Helios Capital, Lombard Street and Gaingels.

Ceres Acquisition Extends SPAC Merger Deadline

$CERWF shareholders voted 65-35 to approve an extension of the deadline to complete a merger, with previously announced Maritime Launch Services, from early March to the end of June.

Maxar Makes Strategic Investment Into Aurora Insight 

$MAXR will help Aurora accelerate its technology offering and streamline the advancement of radio frequency-enhanced GEOINT Solutions. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
